We deliver and we care.

We are extremely careful in how we treat nature, as well as natural, human and cultural resources, and are actively committed to increasing awareness of the environment and sustainability. Starting from the company management, we have enshrined the topic of sustainability across all divisions throughout the entire company, and we implement our goals in a coordinated and consistent manner.

Climate protection is one of the central social and political challenges of the modern day. Every individual can contribute through their actions to keeping the impact on the environment as low as possible. As a company, we are aware of our responsibility towards society and towards future generations. With our initiative id cares, we actively champion sustainability.

The three pillars

We are proud to maintain internationally-recognised accreditations

fresh id is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and has been awarded with EcoVadis Platinum. We are proud to be 100% climate neutral and through our support, we help saving the rainforest and threatened habitats, build new, renewable energy sources, and reduce deforestation in Kenya.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations such as fresh id use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

EcoVadis Platinum

fresh id has been awarded a Platinum EcoVadis Medal. This result places us among the top 1 percent of companies assessed by EcoVadis. EcoVadis provides holistic sustainability ratings service of companies, delivered via a global cloud-based SaaS platform. The EcoVadis Rating covers a broad range of non-financial management systems including Environmental, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement impacts.

Climate neutral company

Becoming 'climate neutral' means reducing greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible, but it also means compensating for any remaining emissions. A net-zero emissions balance is achieved when the amount of greenhouse gas released into the atmosphere is neutralised. Based on the analysis, our offices have produced and offset 84,67 tonnes CO2 in 2023 to become climate neutral. We will continue working on reducing our emissions through effective measures such as using UPS climate neutral delivery, reusing packaging material, and using electric company cars.

ISO 14001

We’re proud to announce that fresh id has been awarded the prestigious ISO 14001:2015 accreditation by TÜV SÜD. In order to achieve this globally recognized award, we have evidenced our quality management systems, as well as the high level of quality customer service that we provide, while having a strong focus on sustainable development initiatives. ISO 14001:2015 is the International Standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and was designed to help businesses and other organizations to reduce their environmental impact.

We try to generate as little waste as possible

We take our responsibility as a company very seriously and try to generate as little waste as possible. In order to achieve this goal, we give discounts to customers who forego plastic packaging or select an environmentally friendly alternative instead. We partnered with the German Institute for Climate Neutrality and offer climate neutral productions that help our customers to offset their emissions. Our samples and prototypes are shipped climate neutral via UPS and we are a member of the The United Nations Global Compact initiative.

UPS climate neutral delivery

fresh id is taking part in the UPS carbon neutral program and pays a small incremental amount to offset the climate impact of the delivery of each of our pack- ages. This means that for every tonne of CO2 a package produces in transporta- tion, an equivalent amount of CO2 is saved by a verified emission reduction project somewhere else in the world.

Member UN global impact

fresh id a proud member of the United Nations Global Compact which is a non-binding United Nations pact to encourage businesses and firms world-wide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their implementation. The UN Global Compact is a principle-based framework for busi- nesses, stating ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.

Climate neutral production

fresh id has partnered with the German Institute for Sustainability and Economics and offers climate neutral production by calculating & offsetting all emissions. This helps our customers making their sustainability performance visible to the outside world.
